Andorran exports in -08- 2018 represented 6.37 million euros, according to the latest report by the Statistics Department of the Government of Andorra. Imports amounted to 112.14 million euros, representing a percentage variation of +4.9% with respect to -08- of the previous year.

As for the accumulated over the last twelve months, the variation is +4.5% with respect to imports, with a value of 1,342.71 million euros, and +14.6% for exports, with a value of 113.89 million euros.

The report also highlights during the first eight months of 2018, total exports were of 76.33 million euros, with a positive percentage change of + 11.2% over the same period last year, and in the case of imports the value was 864.23 million euros, with an increase of 4.2% compared to 2017.

Tax pressure is lower than in neighbouring countries

The Government of Andorra’s Statistics Department also presented figures on the tax burden in the Principality in 2017, which stands at 24.5%, with a decrease of 0.7 percent points with respect to 2016 (25.3%). This figure is below the average for the euro zone, where the average revenue is equivalent to 41.3% of GDP for 2016. For example, tax burden in France stands at 47.6%, and 34,1% in Spain.
