The Andorra Innovation Hub director, Marc Pons, was one of the speakers of the 4th and last session of the Knowledge, Innovation and Sustainability Forum held this Monday, May 27th, in Madrid.
The forum was organized by the Embassy of Andorra in Spain and the Ibero-American Secretariat (SEGIB), within the framework of the Pro Tempore Secretariat of Andorra of the Ibero-American Conference 2019-2020.

Participants included the Professor of Economy at the University of Barcelona, Antón Costas, the FUNDIT Foundation for Innovation’s Director General in Spain, Antoni Garrell, and the expert in digital transformation at Minsait, subsidiary of Indra, Silvia Beggio.

The Spanish ambassador to Andorra, Ángel Ros, also took part in today’s working session, highlighting the importance of focusing technological advances on the human dimension.

In his conference, Marc Pons, talked about the the Andorra Innovation Hub’s commitment to create an ecosystem linked to innovation and knowledge to work on social transformation and economic diversification, promoting at the same time sustainable development. Antoni Garrell underlined the important role of education in promoting innovative solutions. Silvia Beggio focused her speech on the state of maturity of Spanish companies in the face of the technological revolution.

The sessions of the Knowledge, Innovation and Sustainability Forum were held with the aim of giving visibility to Ibero-American issues linked to the themes proposed by the Pro Tempore Secretariat of Andorra: “Innovation for Sustainable Development – Objective 2030”.
