The Minister for Tourism, Francesc Camp and Andorra Turisme’s Marketing and Communication manager, Noemí Pedra, presented on Tuesday, May 29th, the impact of the winter campaign 2017-2018 on the tourism and commercial sector. Winter tourists increased by 1.1% compared to last year and the results show that globally the increase in tourist arrivals has been of 37.9% comparing to the periods between 2012 and 2018.

Within the same period, there has been a 3.5% increase in overnight stays by tourists compared to the previous season and an increase in average overnight stays to 3.46 nights.

This winter season’s results have been marked by the stability in figures, similar to those obtained during the same period last year. Ski days sold by resorts have increased by 2.6% and hotel occupancy has increased by 2.4%.

In this regard, the Minister of Tourism stated that after several years of significant growth it will now be more difficult to do so in the same way and, therefore, stability will be the trend to be followed in the coming winter seasons.
