Andorra is working on the introduction of a shared electric bikes system

The Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability is launching a public inquiry to find out the Andorran citizens’ transport habits, focusing on the use and perception of cycling as a means of transport in the country.
This campaign aims at knowing the mobility needs of the population, and measure the potential use of the electric bike. The study will also allow to define obstacles and thinking about areas for improvement in the implementation of the bicycle as a means of transport in the country.

The methodology is based on 700 random telephone interviews with open questions to people over 18 years. Telephone surveys are supplemented by others conducted over the Internet, including paths via Google Street or Maps.
This action is part of the overall strategy for implementing sustainable mobility with shared electric bicycle, beginning with a cooperation agreement between the Government, the “Comuns” and the ACA signed on 21 September to be put into operation during 2017.
