The Tandem Project, promoted by Andorra Business in collaboration with the Aixovall Vocational Training Centre, presented its tenth edition on Tuesday, September 30th, consolidating itself as one of the country’s key initiatives in applied innovation, talent development, and public-private collaboration.
Over these 10 years, Tandem has involved 673 students, 115 teachers, and 30 companies from across the country, including UNICEF, FEDA, Hotels Plaza, Caldea, and RTVA, among others. Some of the projects developed by students have not only been recognized but also implemented by Andorran companies.
This year’s edition includes 70 students and 10 teachers working on three real-world challenges proposed by leading companies in their respective sectors:
- Klockner Medical Group (SOADCO) has proposed designing a welcome protocol and materials to help new employees feel part of the company community.
- SETAP 365 – Grandvalira Resorts seeks creative answers to the question: How can we help clients aged 15 to 25 improve their first skiing or activity experience through gamification and other strategies?
- Universitat Carlemany proposes developing solutions to strengthen the sense of belonging among its 100% online student community.
The Minister of the Presidency, Economy, Labour and Housing, Conxita Marsol, emphasized that “Tàndem is now a brand. A brand that connects students and companies, showing that when we join forces, everyone wins. If we want Andorra to be competitive internationally, we need to retain talent and nurture it from within. Tàndem is a strategic tool because it transforms students into professionals capable of solving real business challenges.”
In the same vein, the Minister of Institutional Relations, Education and Universities, Ladislau Baró, underlined that “Tàndem demonstrates that when the educational and business worlds work together, the entire country benefits. Young people who take part in the program don’t just learn — they bring immediate value to companies. This is one of the models Andorra needs: training aligned with business needs and focused on results.”
Andorra Business reaffirms its commitment to this program as a tool connecting talent, innovation, and professional opportunities, positioning Andorra as a living ecosystem for project generation.
