Over 150 professionals attend the second edition of the INNTEC Conferences, with more than 40 presentations.

“YouTubers” Patry Jordan, Sara G and Adictik co-founders, Kilian Sevilla and Laura Santolària, headlined the second INNTEC Conferences, held at the Congress Centre of Andorra la Vella on Wednesday 30th November.

The event, sponsored by ACTUA, Crèdit Andorrà, Andorra Telecom and FEDA, hosted more than 20 lectures and round table debates, given by over forty professionals from different sectors. In both sessions, more than 150 attendees could get to know, first-hand, the companies that develop new projects, activities, services and/or products thanks to innovation and new technologies.

Second session of the INNTEC Conferences

The second session of INNTEC started with the institutional welcome of Jordi Blanes and Carles Casadevall, members of ACTinn’s board of directors. The first lectures addressed the cities of the future.

The first conference entitled “Supergreen” was given by Christoph Ingenhoven, founder of Ingenhoven Architects. The German architect highlighted the importance of technology and innovation in transforming cities for citizens’ benefit, fully adapted to their needs.

Elisabet Faura, from Arteks, presented the conference “Third skin, let’s humanize the spaces’. Faura explained the challenges and goals set for 2020, so that the vast majority of buildings to be built follow the ideal parameters of energy efficiency, while improving already existing buildings.

Oriol Beal, from DigitalTransformer, presented “Digitization in the city”. The engineer highlighted the importance of innovation and new technologies on all companies that aim to grow and improve.

Jordi Llovera, from Enginesa, closed the block of cities of the future. His presentation, “Smart City applications to renew Meritxell and Carlemany Avenues”, generated great interest. Llovera predicted results for both sections after the works completion, which will begin in early 2018. The two main commercial arteries of the country will become a completely unified promenade, with green spaces and fully adapted to the needs of all citizens and tourists.

The second block, on mobility and sustainability, started with the round table’ Initiatives in the field of mobility and energy’, moderated by Gemma Rial, presenter at RTVA. Mehdi Alaoui, senior business development manager, from GE Renewable Energy, explained which renewable energies will have the greatest presence worldwide in the coming years.

Xavier Forné, director of Diversification at FEDA, shared ideas with regard to the intermodal mobility platform. Carles Miquel, head of the Energy and Climate Change Office of the Government of Andorra, said initiatives such as the commitment to electric vehicles or the promotion of innovation development is helping Andorra to become a cleaner, more sustainable and renewable country.

Marc Pons, from the Observatori de la Sostenibilitat d’Andorra (OBSA), closed the mobility and sustainability block. Pons discussed which aspects of the country’s mobility need to be changed in order to improve the quality of the air we breathe.

Juan Roldós, from Salesforce, presented ideas on how to digitize all the departments of a company in a correct way.

David Solsona, RAONA’s Project manager, explained the importance of correctly digitizing a company through a progressive transition, taking into account the needs of customers and employees.

Carmen Martínez, Project manager of SAP, and Jorge Pérez, presented a new method of organizing and structuring a company through a solution developed by her company, in which everyone can access the information generated. Pérez explained how to take advantage of the data we obtain from customers to generate new business sources and new ways of innovating.

Jordi Blanes, general manager of NAOS, referred to new technologies and the automation of certain jobs, and whether they can eventually cause unemployment or whether they will simply make worker’s daily tasks easier.
 
The last INNTEC round table, entitled “New Business Models and Success Cases”, generated great expectation due to the presence of “YouTubers” Patry Jordan and Sara G, Kilian Sevilla, co-founder of the company Adictik, his partner Laura Santolària, “influencer” and “blogger” in Theguestgirl. The round table was moderated by Jorge Cebrián, communication manager of ACTUA.
 
Sevilla presented his company, Adictik, a mobile application that allows brands to create quality content thanks to their fans, who end up being the actors in their ads.
 
Laura Santolària wanted to define what an “influencer” is, a word that is very fashionable and often used incorrectly. Patry Jordan explained her career path and how she manages six social networks on a daily basis. Jordan is the author of the blog “Secrets of girls”, dedicated to specialized advice on hair and makeup.
 
Finally, Youtuber, actress and make-up artist Sara G, unveiled her channel, dedicated to spectacular special make-up effects, as well as her professional experience in combining the three professions. Josep Maria Missé, Secretary of State for Economic Diversification, closed the second edition of the INNTEC Conferences.
