Vocational Training students, educators and entrepreneurs work together on Tàndem’s innovative projects

Students participating on Tàndem FP’s Project, organized by ACTUA, and teachers of the Aixovall’s Vocational Training Center, are finalizing three innovative projects being developed for Perfumeria Júlia. They will be presented on May 30th. During the Tuesday, May 23rd, working session, students received a master class to improve their knowledge, focused on how to enhance the brand of your product. They also received advice from various business mentors, such as the director of FEDA, Albert Moles, and ACTInn cluster leader, Vanesa Arroyo.

The 11 students who are currently participating in this first Tàndem’s pilot project are divided into three groups coordinated by five professors of the Aixovall’s FP center. The aim is to bring ideas to the challenge posed by Perfumeria Júlia, who wants to improve the knowledge of its customers in order to provide them with a better experience. Students proposed the creation of an app with geo-localization, to analyze the customer’s reactions while in the shops, an interactive screen and a space for experiences for knowing their priorities and demands.

The conference was also attended by the director of the economic development and promotion agency (ACTUA), Imma Jiménez, director of the Department of Inspection and Educational Evaluation, Marie Pagès, and the director of the Department of Vocational Training, Quim Torredà. On Tuesday, May 30th, projects will be presented publicly at the Vocational Training Center, and a jury will choose the best one.

Tàndem Project

Students in the second year of the Vocational Training Diploma, take part in this pilot program organized by ACTUA. Students are developing their ideas accompanied by teachers and Perfumeria Júlia’s business professionals, to propose innovative solutions that meet the business challenges posed by the company.

Tàndem is a positive experience for both students and the company, since it enhances the Vocational Training’s core competences through real projects of innovation, thus contributing to increase the employability of students, but also for making companies benefit with the existing creative talent in Andorran centers. All thanks to its own model that fosters, in an organized and systematic way, innovation and entrepreneurship to Vocational Training centers.
