Andorra has concluded the 20th edition of the Games of the Small States of Europe with a highly positive balance, both in terms of sports and organization. From May 26 to 31, more than 1,000 athletes from nine countries competed in 19 disciplines held across 15 venues throughout Andorran territory, leaving a memorable mark in the country’s sporting history.

The Games were also a model of sustainability, powered by 100% renewable electricity thanks to an agreement with FEDA (the public entity in charge of electrical energy in Andorra), and promoted sustainable mobility, carbon footprint calculation, and environmental awareness actions—consolidating Andorra as a benchmark for responsible events.

Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, San Marino, and Cyprus were the participating countries in this edition. The athletes demonstrated a high level of competition and sportsmanship in events such as athletics, swimming, judo, gymnastics, cycling, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, shooting, and karate, among others.

The Games posed a logistical and human challenge, which was met with efficiency and enthusiasm thanks to the coordination of the Andorran Olympic Committee, the Government, local councils, and support from entities such as Andorra Turisme, Andbank, FEDA, and numerous volunteers. The competitions were held without major incidents, with a high level of satisfaction among the participating delegations.

With a total investment of 4.5 million euros, the economic impact has been positive for the hotel, restaurant, and retail sectors. The event has projected Andorra’s image across Europe, receiving international media coverage and strong engagement on social media.
