Andorra Business has launched its first call for grants to support Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) projects. With a total budget of €500,000, the initiative aims to strengthen the country’s economic diversification and enhance business competitiveness.

The grants are open to companies and professionals based in Andorra engaged in R&D&I activities. Funding will cover costs relating directly to innovation, development, and business research projects — including specialized staff, productive assets, infrastructure, and technical materials. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, based on criteria such as project impact, feasibility, and technical quality.

“Investing in R&D&I is no longer just an option — it’s a necessity for building a modern, sustainable, and resilient country,” stated Conxita Marsol, Minister of Presidency, Economy, Labor, and Housing, during the presentation. She added: “This is a high-value activity that, with minimal land use and resources, delivers major technological advances, innovative solutions, skilled jobs, new business opportunities, sustainable wealth, and a significant boost to competitiveness.”

Judit Hidalgo, Director of Andorra Business, highlighted that “innovative companies are 50% more likely to grow their revenue and exports. With this call, we aim to strengthen a business ecosystem that can compete globally and foster collaboration within the country.” She also noted that Andorra Business’s goal is “to support high-value-added projects capable of transforming the current economic model — complementing traditional sectors and positioning Andorra as a specialized innovation hub in Southern Europe.”

Applications will be accepted from June 11 to December 10, 2025. Full details and eligibility requirements are available on the Andorra Business website.
