Andorra Research + Innovation (AR+I), Andorra Business, Grandvalira, Creand, and the Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) by Microsoft are jointly launching an innovation challenge to transform visitor experience during the upcoming FIS Alpine Ski World Cup 2026.

Under the title “Experience the World Cup Beyond the Competition,” the challenge aims to enhance the stay of visitors through solutions that could include recreational, digital, or cultural activities tailored to different profiles, such as families, occasional skiers, or visitors who are not fans of the sport.

The challenge, aimed at startups, seeks innovative ideas that integrate the event into the overall experience of resort users. The goal is for the World Cup to be an enriching experience for everyone, combining sport, technology, and entertainment in the unique setting that is Grandvalira, while expanding its impact beyond the race days and traditional audiences.

Andorra Business and Andorra Research + Innovation bring their expertise in innovation and applied research to the project, supporting participating companies to help make their ideas a reality. This initiative is a great opportunity to promote Andorra as an international benchmark for sports events and high-quality tourism.

Companies wishing to participate can submit their proposals until July 20. Up to 10 projects will be selected to give a 10-minute, online video pitch to the organizers.
