The Actua initiative, headed by the Economic Diversification Secretary of State, Josep Maria Missé, was in Lisbon last Thursday to take part of the Opportunities and Collaboration seminar that took place in the Investments and Foreign Trade Agency (AICEP) offices. Missé presented the strategy to open the Andorran economy and the reforms that will enable the country to be positioned as a good destination to establish businesses.

The FEDA Chief Executive in Office, Albert Moles, took the occasion to address the challenges Andorra will face in terms of energy and technologies. Moles detailed the company’s collaboration with the Actua initiative, leading the cluster of innovation. The Commerce and Tourism attaché of the Embassy in Portugal, Jesús Ramírez, participated and presented the Andorran tourism strategies.

Around 20 Portuguese companies interested in investing in Andorra took part of the seminar. Considering the success of this event, the Secretary of State talked about further meetings in Portugal with people in charge of the organisation for 2014. It could be a good occasion to enhance collaborations and develop further investment opportunities within the two countries.

At the end of the seminar, Missé met the Assistant Secretary of State of Economy, Leonardo Matias, ending on Friday with the Portuguese Secretary of State for Tourism, Adolfo Mesquita Nunes.
