For the first time the Actua program went to Fitur Salut, which was held in Madrid on January 20,21 and 22. Keith Pollard, CEO of Intuition Comunication and expert in health tourism market, has been commissioned to open the conference with a talk about new trends in the market for health tourism. He also took the opportunity to present the next summit IMTJ (International Medical Travel Journal) that will be held this year in Madrid during the 24th, 25th and 26th May.

The medical tourism facilitator Roman Kononov, CEO of Recomed Medical Tourism, stressed in his conference “approach to the Russian market,” the Russian tourists preferences when choosing a country for illness or surgery treatments. The first requirement is seeking the prestige of the doctor, followed by medical infrastructure quality and competitive prices. Another destination for health tourism present at the conference was the Arab market. Ms. Ramia Kimrakji CEO of Royalty Consultants explained the importance of the patient / client treatment, beyond the medical services, taking into account their culture and their language.

During their stay at Fitur, the Minister of Tourism and Trade, Francesc Camp, with representatives of Actua and Andorra Turisme could make contacts with Spaincares and explain what is being done from the cluster of health and wellness in order to promote medical tourism in the Principality.
