Work sessions with experts from Hamburg, Helsinki, Shanghai, Taipei and Toronto.

ActuaTech Foundation’s director also participated on Monday in several work sessions in the field of mobility, energy use and human interaction, with experts from Hamburg, Helsinki, Shanghai, Taipei and Toronto. Working groups were organised with mayors, CEOs and academics, jointly analysing the latest Smart Data tools to make cities of the future more efficient.

Pons stressed that “we want to further promote the inclusion of Andorran talent in these international innovation networks. It is very important for us to be invited by the University of Tongji, for the opportunity given to collaborate with such important actors and to set up structures for the Andorran innovation community to benefit from international connections”.

The City Science MIT Media Lab’s director, Kent Larson, recalled that “last September we held the first City Science Summit in Andorra. The Principality has great advantages like Shanghai because it allows you to work directly with the ministries, to obtain data that would be impossible in other large cities…. I think it is very interesting to work in these two cities”.

Tongji Intelligent Big Data Visualisation Lab’s director (iDVx Lab), Nan Cao, stressed that “Andorra is an ideal platform and for its high technology. It is also very interesting and very productive to see how users interact in the context of the city and urban planning”.
