The 6th meeting of the members of the Actua initiative education cluster was held on Wednesday with the presentation of a variety of exposés. The co-founder partners of Catalan company Inpulsa, Lluís Godayol and Jordi Pla, presented the activities carried out at their headquarters, the Esade Creapolis technology centre. Inpulsa provides elements of management and reflection to entrepreneurs with the aim of carrying out their projects, knowing how to sell them to potential investors and becoming successful businesspeople.

The president of the Benjamin Franklin Foundation, Dianna O’Doherty, presented this international school which has branches in several countries. The key of this school is to eflect on how to boost its students’ cognitive, creative and motor skills from the start until baccalaureate. O’Doherty showed the development of the schools around the world and presented ideas as to what Andorra could offer taking into account the model of country that is being developed based on new technologies, health and welfare and education.

At this Wednesday’s meeting, there was a debate as to the promotion of typical Andorran cuisine and the prospects it could have with regard to specific training linked with the assets already offered by the country due to its identity as a tourist destination. Carles Flinch of Can Manel restaurant took part in the debate and expressed a few ideas mentioned in past workshops such as the hotel and catering school, the promotion of km 0 products and the planning of specific courses.

Finally, Rosa Maria Call of the Ministry of the Interior gave a presentation on the Immigration Act and some of the thorny issues that the professionals and entrepreneurs in the field of education may find.

The representatives of the Actua initiative expressed their satisfaction that opportunities in different sectors are being presented at all the workshops and that in the main they are leading to the creation of new enterprises.

“After nearly a year of the Actua initiative, we are highly satisfied with the participation we have had by members of both the private and the public sectors as well as with the quality of the projects presented and the opportunities arising from them”.
