Andorra enjoyed a very intense ten days during the celebration of the second edition of the Andorra Multisport Festival, bringing high level competitions to the Principality in road cycling, mountain biking, trail-running and triathlon. The festival, which has rapidly become one of the most important in its field, stood out for the general increase in the number of participants, who came away with unbeatable impressions of Andorra´s landscapes and the activities carried out.
The regional director for The IRONMAN Group in Andorra, Spain, Italy and Portugal, Agustí Pérez, stated that “the IRONMAN 70.3 Andorra marks the end of the most special festival we could have hoped for”. In this sense, he said “it has been two weeks of sports events of the highest-level attracting thousands of athletes from many countries to the Principality with the races in trail-running, mountain biking and road cycling”.
Pérez evaluated this second Edition by highlighting “the increase in feminine and international participation”. “We are very pleased with the success of this second Edition and are very aware that this is just the beginning. The festival has a long road ahead and that is why starting today we are already working on the third edition”, he concluded.
