The Minister of Land Department, Jordi Torres Falcó and the Mayor of  Encamp Jordi Torres Arauz, signed the cooperation agreement by which the Town Hall of Encamp yields a parcel of land to the Government for the future National Heliport, which should be operational in 2019.

The government will assume the cost of all planned activities prior to the completion of work and the construction of the heliport, which will be declared a Project of National Interest.

The urbanizational work will begin this year, and the infrastructure will be built next year, allowing Helicopters to operate in 2019.  

The 4,000 to 6,000 square meter airport facility will be located in an industrial zone away from residential areas. Helicopters will have a maximum capacity of fifteen places
