The winning solution of the first Tàndem project edition, promoted by ACTUA, was presented on Wednesday, June 21st, at the Council of Ministers. Two students of the Vocational Training of networks and computer systems, and esthetics and perfumery, have presented to the Government an application that allows to capture the customers’ information, thanks to a method that combines NFC, Wifi and Bluetooth technologies. The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Eric Jover, highlighted the innovative and efficient nature of this work. Jover has also expressed recognition for the other two finalist projects, consisting of a personal counseling system, and a ludic-educational space where specific services are provided, according to customers’ preferences.

The Tàndem project is part of the Strategic Plan for the Renewal and Improvement of the Educational System of Andorra (PERMSEA) that aims to transform the teaching, learning and evaluation process, to give more prominence to the development of skills and abilities in real situations. In the case of vocational training, Eric Jover, stressed the importance of establishing closer ties between the center and the companies.

In this first edition, students of the Vocational Training in the areas of microcomputing and networks, aesthetics, cosmetics and perfumery, and multilingual secretariat have developed their ideas accompanied by professors and professionals of the chosen company, Perfumeria Júlia, to propose innovative solutions. Solutions that had to respond to the business challenge posed by the company: How can we improve the information regarding our clients’ behavior, in order to provide them a better offer with products and services more suited to their expectations.
