Andorra’s private Innovation and New Technologies cluster (ACTinn) delivered, on Monday 26th February, its first label to the Fashion 4.0 project. The working group Fashion 4.0, created under the ACTinn cluster by four members, founders of the association, received favourable votes from the ACTinn Board of Directors, not only for the ACTinn label but also with an endowment of 5,000 euros.

The cluster mainly valued bringing new technologies closer to the Andorran public, demonstrating how some production tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters and modelling tools, can be useful. The project wants this laser cutter and other technological tools to be available to Andorran citizens in a manufacturing laboratory, the first FabLab in Andorra.

At the same time, workshops and courses will be organized for businessmen, entrepreneurs and students to discover the numerous possibilities offered by these technologies. Fashion 4.0 also aims to contribute to Andorra’s socio-economic development by creating jobs, a training centre, but also by renewing the commercial offer within the fashion sector.

The ACTInn 2018 Label

The label is conceded to projects that will be developed with the support of ACTInn and values the innovative aspect, the applicability and contribution to the Andorran territory. The number of projects that can apply to the ACTinn label is unlimited, so the ACTinn Board of Directors will accept all those projects that are well valued. The call for proposals for the ACTinn label and funding will be renewed in 2018 to support other innovative and high potential projects.
