Some of the country´s emerging companies attend the 4YFN from Mobile World Congress with the help of Andorra Business

Andorra Business is participating, for the second year running, in 4 Years From Now (4YFN), the international event for start-ups within the framework of the world´s biggest exposition for the mobile industry, the Mobile World Congress, taking place until Thursday at the Fair of Barcelona. The entity has a stand where investment opportunities in Andorra are explained and has also helped 8 companies and entities from the country to be present (Niu Andorra Telecom, Naos, Airnex, Freemindtronic, PurpleDye, Imporex, Job and Play, and Iniced) and use the space to present their projects and set up professional meetings.

Simultaneously, the Minister for Presidency, Economy and Enterprise, and president of Andorra Business, Jordi Gallardo was in charge of giving a public presentation at the Tech Barcelona stand, on the latest projects being worked on in the country. Gallardo highlighted that “our objective is to connect clients, commercial partners, investors, start-ups and companies that are engaged with innovation as a motor for corporate, social and human development”, and he added that “for years we have perceived that the welcome received by Andorran projects is excellent and participating in events like this positions the country as a pole of attraction for technological and entrepreneurial projects”.

Furthermore, the director of Andorra Business, Judit Hidalgo, explained that “the Andorran companies here with us, mainly emerging ones, have the opportunity to connect with investors and large corporations. In this 8th edition of the 4YFN there are over 600 participating and like last year, we hope to establish important professional contacts”.

Minister Gallardo, accompanied by the State secretary for Economic Diversification and Innovation, Marc Galabert, also took the opportunity of being at the 4YFN to hold various work meetings with the Canadian Ambassador, Wendy Drukier, the Council General from the United States, Katie Stana, and representatives from the Quebec Government, among others and to meet with media outlets.

Over 600 emerging companies

4 Years From Now is one of the most important fairs for entrepreneurs and innovation on an international level. In this eighth edition, taking place in pavilion number 6 of the Fira Gran Via, there are over 600 emerging companies taking part, and the main topics are: technological humanism and its impact on society, creative minds and opportunities for financing.
