The first event organized in the Principality by Startup Grind, the largest global community of entrepreneurs in the world, was presented this Monday, May 14th, in the Innovation Space of Andorra. The first session will take place on May 16th with a presentation by the Minister of Economy, Innovation and Competitiveness, Gilbert Saboya. Registration can be made on this link. Under the title “Open Innovation in Andorra: Our Partnership with MIT Media Lab”, Saboya will present innovation projects being developed by the ActuaTech Foundation and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the country. The speech, streamed Live on https://www.startupgrind.com, will take place at 7 pm in Andorra la Vella’s Congress Centre.

During the presentation, Ferran Martínez, director of Startup Grind Andorra, highlighted the event was conceived with “the idea to increase Andorra’s renown internationally in the entrepreneurial world, and to generate opportunities to export the country’s talent”. Furthermore, Alex Rodriguez, regional director of Startup Grind in Southern Europe, has shown interest in “becoming an international partner with Andorra’s entrepreneurial initiatives “. Judit Hidalgo, director of Andorra Desenvolupament i Inversió (ADI-Actua) said Startup Grind “allows us to promote values we hold dear in Actua, as well as positioning Andorra internationally, collaborating with companies such as Google”.
