The Minister of the Presidency, Economy and Business, Jordi Gallardo, the Secretary of State for Economic Diversification and Innovation, Marc Galabert, and Actua Empresa’s Director, Judit Hidalgo, held several bilateral meetings in Izmir (Turkey) on September 6th. They met with a delegation from China led by the Deputy Minister of Trade, Li Chenggang, with the Turkish Minister of Trade, Ms. Ruhsar Pekcan, and with the Minister of Economy of Bhutan, Lyonpo Loknath, among others.

With the Turkish delegation, Andorran representatives discussed issues related to Trade and Innovation in the health sector, and how to attract more foreign investment and tourists from Turkey to Andorra. They also talked about Free Trade zone models for technological regions, and they mutually acknowledged major interests in having closer economic relations. Both delegations agreed to maintain new working sessions in the future.

Andorra was invited by the Turkish Government to participate at the 88th edition of Izmir International Fair, one of the most important economic events in Turkey, where 190 representatives from 39 countries, including 13 ministers, attended. Andorra showed the country’s main economic and investment attractions and the latest business opportunities.
